Here she is Miss. Lake Winola! Hello, is FRAP there?

Here are two more recent pictures of the kids. Lorelai was modeling her new swimsuit for Nana. This is the one she is wearing to the beach this year. Randall says after looking at this picture that when she turns 16 he'll have to have his shotgun at the ready! FRAP, as we call him, has a fixation with cell phones. He is usually carrying an old one with him wherever he goes.

Dad Garrison, Lorelai and Quarries

Good afternoon everyone. It's me logging in to update. As you all know Dad went in to the hospital this past Tuesday for a normal biopsy, and ended up staying for an extended visit. His fever flucuated from 99.6 to 103.5 at the highest. He is doing fine now after they pumped him with some pretty powerful antibiotics. His fever has held at 99.4 for the last day and a half and he is scheduled to come home today. Thank you for all your prayers and calls. You have no idea how much it means to us, his family. So I thought I was out of the woods with Lorelai's sicknesses this year. She sure has had her fair share, but, this morning about 3:00 she came in to Randall and I saying she was very cold and wanted warm jammies on. I felt her head and discovered a 101.2 temp. So I gave her some Ibuprofen and we went back to sleep. Upon waking this morning she still had a fever and threw up twice. So I am trying to keep her from getting worse. But with a three year old. That's difficult. She doesn't want to sit still. Some of our newer news is that Randall has found another quarry to start digging at and will begin soon. This will in no way be a full time job, but instead a "by the order" quarry. Ok so I am going to go. I will post later. - Bye for now!

Isn't she talented? I happen to think she looks a lot like me in these pictures. I have a picture from when I was little and we were visiting Mac and Peg. My hair is identical to this and I have that same "angelic" smile!

Here he is my little man. Is he not the most adorable little guy ? This was taken out at my brothers on a visit.

WOW! Ok, so it has been a reallllllllly long time since I have posted. Smack my hand with a ruler now! Amazingly though, not much has changed in our little lives. The personal situation I spoke about in my last post is taken care of and no longer will be a problem.
Lorelai is still Lorelai and is itching for Spring to be here finally. Randall Jr. is as cute as ever and is now finally eating like a boy should. Greenbeans and carrotts seem to be his favorite. Randall Sr. is working, what's new. And me, why I am just busy doing my housework. Actually we'll start decaling the race car soon, so that will be something new to look forward to. I am not writing much tonight ut I am going to post a couple of pictures for you enjoyment.

Superbowl Sunday.

As anyone who knows me would assume, that I watched the game last night. I must say I was extremely pleased that the game was not a blow out and was very exciting. I do however wish the cardinals would have won! We had a little party at my house. My mom, dad, dad-in-law, Jeff and Nikki. Nothing huge, but we had fun. Mom of course was Steelers from head to toe, literally, she had a hat on and socks on, and everything in between! Now I will watch Mens College B-Ball, Go Nova!
Nothing much has been happening around here. Just the normal day to day life of a family. Lorelai has decided she will go to school three days a week next year and doesn't seem to be to disgruntles by the thought. Randall Jr. has begun climbing on things and scares us at least four or five times a day! Randall Sr. is FINALLY finished with the job in Jersey and has found a job he will be home for, for the next couple of weeks YAY! Me? Well, I am just taking it all in and enjoying things while I can. I had a rough patch this weekend that I would rather not get into, but I will be okay. Thank God for a strong husband, who loves me very much!

It's been a long time. I am Sorry!

Hello everyone. I know, I know, I haven't been doing too good with my New Year's resolution. I have good reason! At least I think it is. Are you ready?
I am a "Twilight" series junkie. I believe the word for it is ""Twidict". Let me explain. Twilight is a series of books written by Stephanie Meyers. An unbelievable work of fiction about a loner girl, Bella and how she falls in love with a "vampire" named Edward. There was no bloodsucking, gory scenes, because this family of vampires that he belongs to consider themselves "vegetarians", meaning they only drink the blood of animals like bears, mt. lions etc... Well, as dorky as it may sound the book were awesome! There are 4 of them and I finished the series in about 7 days! The last book had 754 pages, it took me 2 days to read. Lorelai began calling me book lady! I don't know what exactly drew me about these books but, I can honestly say, I will re-read them and enjoy them just as much!
So now you know what I've been up to, how 'bout the rest of them? Life as normal of course. Lorelai continues to go to school and now is faced with the decision to either go two days next year or three. She also wants to get her ears pierced. we are letting her make her own mind up there also, I don't see it happening anytime soon though. Randall Jr. is still exploring all he can and pushes the limit every chance he gets. Randall Sr. is finishing up his job in NJ and will be back next week to start putting feelers in around here and out by my brother's for work. He has a couple things lined up but is really hoping to find something much bigger than just two or three day jobs!
Superbowl is coming up this weekend, my house is rooting for the Cardinals, my mom is furious because she wants the Steelers to win. I am going with the underdogs.
So I guess that's about it. I promise to keep up better than this from now on. Bye-Bye.

sick,sick,sick...

Sick, sick, Sick...that about covers our household right now. Lorelai has a cough , a stuffy nose, a slight fever, and a headache. Little Randall has a cough and stuffy nose. Mommy has a stuffy nose and Daddy has a stuffy nose. So we are all taking medicine and resting.
Besides that we are just hanging out until winter is over and trying to stay warm. It has been under 30* here for the past three weeks. Reaching about -11 at the coldest. Brrrrr.
We've had some exciting news that Randall has caught the eye of another company who thinks they could use his expertise. They are a gas drilling company from West Virginia. So they have been talking about places they know. The one man said,"I know Tom Paxton" and Randall said,"Different Paxton's". The guy said,"Not from Round Ridge", Randall said,"No, Long Ridge." The man actually lives in Spencer where Helen's parents live. Well, Lorelai has now woke up and would like to be cuddled. So Mommy duty calls. I will post later.

Hello Everyone, I am the Phantom of the Spaghetti O's. Looks pretty messy doesn't he? He had a ball eating lunch and I figured, "Well, it's nothing that won't clean up easy." Enjoy the picture!

A Game of Catch Up.

Hi there. Wow, It's been a really long time since I posted. Oops. I am really sorry. So I will once again catch you up on what's been going on.After we got back from John and Mona's life has pretty much gone back to normal. Randall is working today in Maryland on a cell tower in the bitter cold. He called to say he was fine and should be headed home in about 45 minutes. He started work on his race car, has the old stuff stripped off and the new stuff ready to go. Lorelai is back to school twice a week and play, play, play most other times. Since we got some snow she has played outside a couple of times. She gets bored quick and caomes in about 1 hour after she goes out.Randall jr. is still the same, although he is drinking more from a sippy cup then a bottle now. I am gradually breaking him of that, and hopefully by May he will be off the bottle completely. Then it's time for Daddy to start potty training him. He brings us diapers when he is wet or dirty so that is a really good sign.Me? Well, I just finished reading the Vampire novel "Twilight". WOW! It was awesome.I started it Friday and had the 498 page book finished by Sunday. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait now to read the next one"New Moon" and see the movie that came out this past summer. In fact I begged my mom to babysit tomorrow night so I could go to the 7:45 showing at the theater. I am so excited.I hope that doesn't sound pathetic? So, so far our New Year has been , thankfully quiet. I am going to try to upload a picture now, hopefully that will work. Until tomorrow...BYE-BYE.

Sorry, so late.

Well, it's been about three days since I last updated my blog. Not too much has happened in the last three days. We made our way home from John and Mona's on Monday and went straight to AWANA. Which is a children's church club that Lorelai is in, and I teach at. Yesterday we had a lot of Daddy's errands to run after I picked Lorelai up from her first day back in school. Randall left early and headed to Selinsgrove to pick up a new race car, well new to him, race car and dropped it off at Joe Domiano's garage. Joe is a really good friend of Randall's. He is a fellow racer who retired this year and asked Randall if he could take care of Randall's car for him. Randall of course agreed! So now he won't have to spend all of his nights working on his car.
We went to Mom and Dad Paxton's last night for dinner. The snow started here at about 3:00pm. It lasted until 10:00pm and all together we got about 3 inches, than the rain came and made all that snow, into hard packed ice. Great fun! I will definitely post tonight, after today's adventures. Bye-Bye.

Two days of fun.

We left yesterday morning for John and Mona's at 5:30 am. The kids wee still sound asleep and it made the trip a ton easier not having to entertain them too much. We dropped my Dad off at work Friday morning and headed out. We arrived safely at John and Mona's about 11:30am. It surprised them that we were that early. We went food shopping and to Wal-Mart, to pick up some snacks for the weekend. John's friends the Deans came over and we had a ball telling them all the crazy stories about my mom. There are soooooo many. Dad, Randall and Dan arrived at aout 11:30 pm. We carried the presents in and set them around the tree for the kids in the morning.
Little Johnny was the first one up and was excited because Santa had stopped at his house again!
....I am being paged so I will finish this later this evening. Bye- for now!

A New Year

5,4,3,2,1.....Happy New Year. I am sorry I didn't post last night or should I say this morning. We got home from our New Year Eve party around 1:00 am and since both kids were asleep we took the chance to watch a movie,"Annapolis". It was really good.
Lorelai enjoyed her night, she had lots of people to entertain. She played Wii bowling and had a score of 124!
FRAP just kind of wandered from person to person and enjoyed the attention.
Randall and I, ate, played Wii, ate some more, played more Wii, the ususal at a New Years Eve party. It's hard for me to beileve that this is our 16th New Year together.
I have a lot to do today, packing, cleaning, laundry, vacuming the car, so I will close today with a line from a song I sang when I was a little girl. It kind of goes with the challenges and uncertainities we face in a new year. As individuals, couples, and a nation :
"He's got everything under control, he's got everything under control. The stars and the planets are in His hands. The wind and the rain are at His command. You and I are a part of His plan. He's got EVERYTHING under control." AMEN!
